The difference between a string solar inverter and a hybrid inverter lies primarily in their functionality and the type of solar power systems they are designed to work with:

1. String Solar Inverter:

  - A string solar inverter is designed for use in grid-tied solar power systems.

  - It is typically connected to multiple solar panels arranged in series, forming a "string" of panels.

  - The inverter converts the DC (direct current) electricity generated by the solar panels into AC (alternating current) electricity suitable for use in homes or businesses.
